We believe that God is calling his church to ‘Arise, shine for your light has come’ (Isaiah 60). That means the ordinary church members by the thousand. Together, we can be the mighty army that the Lord is calling into existence.

It is also time for the church to care for those outside it - really care. We are called to ‘spend ourselves on behalf of the hungry’ (Isaiah 58) and to ‘comfort those who mourn’ (Isaiah 61)

How can we ‘arise’ and at the same time care for others - and therefore see our ‘light rise in the darkness’ (Isaiah 58)? How can we see God move, as we ourselves truly move?

We believe that the answers are to be found in:

• a decision to go out, to where the people are
• a commitment amongst the churches to work together as one church
• a priority to love and serve people and pray for their needs
• a spirit of generosity, whereby we offer to feed the town!
• a willingness to be weak - and see what the Lord does
• a spirit of worship, filling all that we do.
